Dr. Kathy J. Siesel was granted a U.S. patent for a heel device that she developed

INDEPENDENCE, OH, November 8, 2013, Dr. Kathy J. Siesel, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and Associate Professor of Podiatric Biomechanics/Orthopedics at The Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in podiatry.

 

Dr. Kathy J. Siesel has 25 years of experience in the medical profession and is a highly regarded specialist in podiatric biomechanics, podiatric sports medicine, and podiatric pediatrics. She has devoted all but three years of her career to The Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. As an associate professor, she draws on extensive practical experience to train future podiatric physicians in lower limb anatomy, clinical biomechanics, and clinical lower extremity biomechanics.

 

A valued contributor to her profession, Dr. Siesel was granted a U.S. patent for a heel device that she developed. She is a fixture at various charitable events, donating her services to participants at marathons, half-marathons and 100-mile races. Ever the teacher, she uses her volunteer work as an opportunity to give her students first-hand experience of injuries that they will rarely encounter in an office setting. Recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who as a VIP member, Dr. Siesel has been lauded by many organizations for her work. These include Who's Who Among America's Teachers, Who's Who Among America's Business and Professional Women, Who's Who of Executives and Business Professionals, Metropolitan Who's Who of Professional Educators, and America's Top Podiatrists. She considers earning her patent to be the highlight of her career to date, and attributes her success to hard work, a desire to help people, open-mindedness, and an eagerness to learn.

 

Dr. Siesel received a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1989 from The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1984 from Bowling Green State University. She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She maintains active affiliation with the Northeast Ohio Academy of Podiatric Medicine, the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the OCPM Alumni Association.
